the pub represents a place to engage people in a relevant way where they live in their culture. Jesus went to Matthew the tax collectors home, a safe environment for Matthew, a controversial place for the Pharisees and maybe an awkward place for the disciples. When I step into a pub I find Jesus is already there. Welcome to the pub!
